The Plant Centre is attractively located within the gardens and offers a good selection of hardy plants, many of which are grown at our own nursery.
Our Birdhouse Tearoom has just won the Gold award for the “Greatest Catering Team” in a uk garden centre seating under 150 seats.
The kitchen garden is a working garden where we grow herbs, salads and fruit for the Birdhouse Tearoom.

We opened our new venture at Harestanes Countryside Visitor Centre on 24th March. Our café there is very much tailored towards families, with the offering including ice-creams and lollies, childrens lunch boxes, toasted tascas and a delicious range of cakes handmade in Cumbria. Woodside is running a series of children’s workshops this year aimed at primary school aged children, although younger children are welcome to attend with parental supervision.
