Woodside plant centre Nr Jedburgh

Welcome to Woodside, an award-winning plant centre & tearoom based in a lovely old walled garden, just north of Jedburgh in the wonderful Scottish Borders.

Woodside is owned and managed by gardening duo Emma and Stephen Emmerson, with help from an enthusiastic and dedicated team of staff. Located within a Victorian Walled Garden, Woodside is home to a large and well-stocked plant centre, filled with plants sourced from Scottish and UK growers, a great range of compost (including peat-free) , seeds, bulbs, garden tool, fertilisers, wild bird care and much more. We continue to expand and in the summer of 2020 we added a grocery shop to our repertoire, and in 2021 we introduced a new  aquatics section.

Improvements are continuing into 2022, and we hope that you'll enjoy the newest facilities that we are currently constructing, which includes a new polytunnel for our bedding plants, a bigger compost canopy, and a new section to house the very popular aquatics department.

Our cosy Birdhouse Tearoom overlooks our bird-feeding station, where you can enjoy up close views of our garden birds, whilst enjoying a cup of freshly made coffee and delicious home-baking, or a light lunch. Our garden seating area is very popular with tearoom users as the south facing site makes it a sun trap! Dogs on leads are welcome in the garden seating area. We now also offer a takeaway service.

Woodside is open every day, and offers visitors a delightful experience, with our own unique take on a garden centre!

How to Get in Touch

We love meeting people and caring for our plants, but we are not so keen on sitting in the office and working  on a computer. Because of our lovely woodland setting internet signals are intermittent, so emails and social media requests may go un-answered. Please phone us during opening hours on 01835 830315 for all enquiries.
